An Update From Havering Police

Emergency response team officer patrols in Hornchurch launched last week by the new Superintendent in charge of Emergency Response Policing in the Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. Later next month and again in October we will receive additional fleet to better equip the Response Teams, enabling them to respond to the demand throughout the summer months and beyond. T/Detective Superintendent Michael Dougall said “This change in our operation will provide better coverage of the Borough, allowing my officers to respond to emergency calls faster in and around the areas of Rainham, South Hornchurch and Elm Park. This is coupled with providing high visibility response in the area, deter criminal activity and reassure local residents. This quarter of the year our call performance shows we are well within charter time on our 999 response. I am proud of my officers and their achievements and dedication to serving the public”
