Secret Garden for the Blind

Havering Volunteer Centre in partnership with the Friends of the Secret Blind Garden have launched a crowdfunding campaign to improve the only outdoor recreational space within the London Borough of Havering for the visually impaired.

The space has been lovingly tended too for the past 4 years by dedicated volunteers who have ensured the space has remained open and safe for visitors.

It’s now time to develop this area and enhance the enjoyment for those with visual impairment by installing large, raised font and braille signage so that users of the space can truly benefit from its splendour.

We have developed a the campaign to help us on our mission but if we fail to reach the target, the garden will receive none of the funds pledged so far, which would be a great loss to the community.
