Elm Park Wins Gold for London in Bloom

Councillors Barry Mugglestone and Stephanie Nunn are
thrilled that Elm Park has achieved a Gold Award for London
in Bloom this year.
They have been working towards this for several years now and
would like to thank Havering Council, the Elm Park London in
Bloom Committee, businesses and schools (Benhurst, R J
Mitchell, St Albans and Scotts Pre School) for their involvement.
Of course, London in Bloom Awards aren’t achieved overnight
and a lot of effort is put in all year round with clean ups and
tidying. When Barry and Stephanie became councillors in 2014
one of the reasons was to bring back pride to Elm Park by
replacing weeds and broken down flower beds with colourful
displays.
You will have seen the gradual improvement over the years and
you may also have seen Barry and Stephanie watering and
tidying the plants on a regular basis up by the station and in the
area generally.
