UPDATE:  South Essex Crematorium Gardens of Remembrance re-opened on Saturday 25 April from 9 am to 7 pm.  However, the car park remains closed to those visiting the gardens due to the temporary morgue located there.

As part of new government guidance, cemeteries at Romford, Hornchurch, Rainham and Upminster are now re-opened.

The grounds to South Essex Crematorium, Ockendon Road, will remain closed in accordance with Coronavirus Act Legislation until further notice.

The four cemeteries will open from 9 am to 7 pm – the usual opening hours at this time of year.

Social distancing guidelines around COVID-19 will remain in place on all sites to keep residents and staff safe.
