I have had a few people ask when the Green Bin (Garden Waste) collections will start again, I have also been asked why it stopped.

The group who run waste collection for Havering (Serco) struggled to maintain the number of working employees due to the Covid-19 virus. A decision was made to safeguard the Black and Orange bagged waste  over the green bin collection.

Due to the increase of fly tipping (the recycling centre in Gerpins Lane is also currently closed to the public) we are raising the question of when the collection will start again and whether the council employees can be used to help collect the Green Bin waste.
