Neighbourhood Watch: Owl Mobile Phone App Launched

Owl Mobile Phone App Launched

Dear Watch Member,
The OWL app for Havering has now been launced. So anyone living or working in the Borough can download the app from their app store free of charge. You do not have to register or provide any personal information to use the app. It automatically detects your location and you will receive push notification whenever the police have sent an important alert to their area.

Some non-urgent alerts about meetings and newsletters shouldn’t trigger a push notification. But all alerts can be viewed by tapping on the Alerts button and they’re organised into 3 tabs.

You can customise the types of alerts you receive and expand the zones you receive messages about. Go to Settings and select your interests. Then tap on Set Alert Zones and your nearest zone is automatically selected. If you want to get alerts from further afield then select other zones by tapping on them (they’re green when unselected).

Please click on the link below it provides links to Google Play and the App Store to download it. You can also search your App Store for ‘Owl Crime Alert’
