BIN COLLECTION STARTS 1 HOUR EARLIER DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER – JULY 18th AND 19th

We received this email from our coms department regarding the extreme weather expected Monday and Tuesday next week (18th / 19th)

Dear Councillors,

Given the extreme temperatures forecast for next week, we are permitting the Serco crews to start collections an hour earlier than usual, at 6am instead of 7am.

The Comms team are working to ensure the message gets out as much as possible on the website and social media. On top of that, we have advised Serco that any missed collections must still be honoured, given collection times will change, and extra attention must be paid to clearing spillages, given more people are likely to present their waste the night before.

We hope you deem this a reasonable approach, and that this information is useful
