The Friends of Langtons (FOLE) need your help with feedback. The Friends of Langtons Estate have long been raising funds for the final part of the restoration of the increasingly rare, late Eighteenth Century Bathhouse in our historic gardens. Replacement of the rotting frontage, new back door, lighting & lime plaster to the walls of the Bath section and levelling of the outside ground and stump removal to prevent damp and root ingress is what we are seeking funding for. We are working with LBH on this. To help our bid for funds we would love your feedback to the following:
- Would you like to see regular public tours/open days of the Bathhouse?
- This can include school visits, history groups as well as local people & garden visitors. We are open to suggestions.
- Would you like to see the Bathhouse once restored used for very small ceremonies such as wedding vow renewals?
- The outside area once stump is removed and ground levelled, could help improve biodiversity in the garden by devoting the area to pollinators. Again we welcome your thoughts and suggestions of what plants should be chosen for biodiversity of insect life.
Thank you and thanks to everyone who has supported our endeavours so far.
