I received the following email from the local SNT Police

As more of us are returning to the ‘norm’ and going out, please be aware pickpockets are on the prowl.  Yesterday a 90 year old male was probably seen withdrawing £2500 from Santander and followed. This was stolen from him in Icelands by 2 females.  Encourage family and friends not to withdraw such a large amount of cash, pay by bank transfer where possible.
