It was a case of lightning speed from James and John as they were able to resolve a long-standing issue for residents in Hornchurch Road.

A resident got in touch querying why the sports centre lights stay on all night causing light pollution and an unwanted environmental burden.

Using their local connections and close relationship with the sports centre they were able to bring about a swift change in under a week.

The sports centre manager, who was fully supportive of the request was able to adjust the timing of the signage so that the lights turn off around 11 PM and turn on close to 5.30 before the centre opens.

A win for all involved. Better sleep for those nearby, reduced carbon footprint for the sports centre and a tick in the box for John and James.
