Many of our vulnerable residents will not be able to check if there is any damage and could end up with unnecessary work carried out.
We always advise to use a reputable trader for quotes Even with these type of emergency repairs.
If homeowners are insured, they should contact the insurance company for the repairs as not following the terms of the insurance could result in the claim being void.
If a rental property, then the resident should contact the landlord.
