The parking allowance for Sainsburys car park in Hornchurch is 2 hours only during a single day.
Theses restrictions run from Monday to Saturday 7AM through to 6PM (no restrictions on Sundays)
You are allowed to leave and return (you must leave a minimum of 1 hour before returning) .
As long as over a 1 day period you do not spend more than 2 hours in the car park you are within the rules.
ANPR cameras record the number plates of the vehicles entering and leaving. Fines are being sent to residents overstaying.
My partner was shoppingno at Sainsbury’s hornchurch .she over stayed her time by 24mins .after paying out every weeks shop of 200.00 plus it would appear very unfair to be fined .my partner had just lost her mum and dad before Xmas .and this was her first time of venturing out at Sainsbury’s .so to say it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth is a understatement.I’ll review where we’ll shop in future .
Thanks Susan.
It is never nice to receive a fine.
The problem is this is an automated system, if you fall foul of the timing the ticket is issued automatically without human intervention.
Had you contacted Sainsburys, they could have listened to your explanation and they may have been able to overturn the ticket.
What about disabled customers, takes them longer to shop and sometimes at least half an hour at the check out and even longer if you want to purchase stamps or lottery tickets,
2hrs just not long enough,
I agree with the lady above. I am disabled, it takes me a little while to get out of car and get my walker out.
Then to get into the store. Get shopping check out, especially if anything is queried or someone has to be called. Or on the way in or out you need the loo.
I have just received a fine as the said day my breathing was bad and had to keep stopping. 2hrs is just not long enough. Blue badge says 3 it should be that.
Can you park at sainsbury hornchurch after 6pm weekdays
